While working at McKinsey & Company, I proposed, developed, and led a mentorship program aimed at increasing the participation of women in technology, with the goal of reducing the existing gender gap within the technical department. The program selected 15 applicants, each paired with a mentor to develop essential soft skills for the corporate environment, while also participating in technical-focused webinars. Upon completion of the program, participants went through an interview process, and selected candidates were offered an internship within the Data Engineering area, contributing to real-world solutions. After I left the firm, the program continued to operate and expanded its scope to include individuals from the LGBTQ+ community, reinforcing its long-term impact and commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within technical roles.
